The Organism

Molecular biology is a field of biology which is concerned with understanding the structure and function of biological molecules. This includes proteins, nucleic acids, enzymes, and cell membranes. It is closely related to genetics and biochemistry, and has applications in areas such as medicine and agriculture.

Genetics 

Genetics is the study of heredity, or the passing of traits from one generation to the next. It is a subfield of biology, and is closely related to molecular biology and biochemistry. Genetics is important in understanding the evolution of species and the mechanisms of disease, and has many applications in medicine, industry, and agriculture.

Evolution 

Evolution is the process by which organisms change and diversify over time. It is the theory which explains the diversity of life on our planet, and the mechanisms by which organisms have adapted to their environment.

Cellular Biology

Cellular biology is the study of how cells work and how they interact with their environment. It is closely related to molecular biology and genetics, and has applications in a wide range of fields, from medicine and biotechnology to ecology and agriculture.
